Exercise and other physical activity causes the body to heat up, as a result of this the body uses the process of sweating to cool the body down. The liquid, which consists of mainly water, is excreted by the body via sweat glands in the skin and evaporates to cool the body. This is the natural process of controlling body temperature, however some individuals suffer from excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis where overactive sweat glands produce sweat to excess and even under non activity.
